Thiruvananthapuram: The hearing of the VCs of the state, who have been issued notices by the Governor, will be held on 12th December. Raj Bhavan issued a letter asking the VCs to present at 11 am. Nine Vice-chancellors have been summoned for the hearing. They can assign advocates instead of presenting directly.
In the midst of the state Government’s continuous fight over the appointment of university VCs in the state, the Raj Bhavan has asked the VCs to give an explanation. The letter has been sent to all except the former VCs of KTU (Kerala Technical University) and Fisheries.
The Governor is now taking steps to proceed with the appointment of VCs in universities in accordance with the court proceedings.
