Doha: Croatia beat Morocco in the third-place play-off. Croatia won by two goals to one. Josko Gvardiol and Mislav Orsic scored for Croatia. Achraf Dari scored Morocco’s goal. Croatia scored a goal in the seventh minute of the match. Perisic fed the ball to Gvardiol with a header from Lavro Majer who took a free-kick to bring down Andrej Krameric. Gvardiol turned it into a goal with an unforced header. Morocco fought back and found the equalizer in the ninth minute.
Croatia then fought back and regained the lead in the forty-second minute. Orsic took advantage of the weakness of the Moroccan defense and hit the crossbar with a powerful shot from the corner of the box. Although Morocco made every effort to equalize in the second half, they were thwarted by a strong Croatian defense.
