Bhopal: More leaders joined the BJP after giving a heavy blow to the Congress. Senior Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh MLA Brij Bihari Patheria has joined the BJP. Patheria entered BJP in the presence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Brij Bihari Patheria is an influential leader of Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district. His joining the BJP is considered to be one of the recent heavy setbacks for the Congress in the state. Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Minister Bhupendra Singh said that Patheria’s political experience will benefit the party.
Brij Bihari Patheria is a leader who contested on a Congress ticket in 1998 and became an MLA. Along with Patheria, many of his close followers are said to be leaving the Congress and joining the BJP in the coming days. Govind Singh Rajput, a leader closely associated with Patheria, joined the BJP along with Jyotiraditya Scindia and had largely affected the Congress in Sagar. Rajput is currently the revenue and transport minister in the BJP Government in Madhya Pradesh.
