Stone pelted again on Vande Bharat Express in Bengal

Kolkata : Another stone pelting incident on Vande Bharat Express train. This is the second such incident in West Bengal in two days. The attack took place on the Vande Bharat Express train on the Howrah-New Jalpaiguri route when the train reached New Jalpaiguri yard. The glass windows of C-3 and C-6 coaches were broken.

A similar attack took place on the Vande Bharat Express train on Monday evening. Vandalists hurled stones at the new Vande Bharat train which started from West Bengal. The Vande Bharat Express, which was going to Howrah, was broken by the vandalists.The incident happened just before reaching Malda after passing Kumarganj station. The passengers said that the incident was shocking. The glass was broken but none of the passengers on the train were injured at the time of the incident. Railway officials said that a detailed investigation will be conducted over the incident.

It is on the fourth day after the inauguration, the first train was pelted with stones in Bengal. The incident became a big discussion and the BJP leaders in the state demanded an NIA investigation. Following this, the attack was held for a second time last day.
