Chennai: Popular Tamil actor, director and producer Manobala passes away at the age of 69 at his home in Saligramam, Chennai. The veteran actor was suffering from liver related problems and was under medical treatment.
His debut as an actor and assistant director in 1979 through the movie, Puthiya Vaarpugal directed by Bharathiraja. He has around 300 movies to his credit staying active for more than four decades. He had directed 24 movies in Tamil, Kannada and Hindi film industries. He had also produced movies such as Sathuranga Vettai and Paambhu Sattai.
His last acting venture in Tamil was in the film Ghosty and in Telugu it was the movie Waltair Veerayya. He is survived by his wife, Usha and son, Harish
