Thiruvananthapuram: Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) predicted swell waves and rough sea on Kerala coast. ‘There is a possibility that sea will be rough nearshore along the coast due to the effect of high period (16-20sec) swell waves, having 0.8 -1.3 m. until today 11: PM’-INCOIS informed.
Fishermen and coastal residents are advised not to venture into the sea due to the rough sea alert. Trips to the sea and other activities should be completely avoided
Precautions:-
1. Stay away from the danger areas as per the instructions of the authorities as the rough sea likely to intensify.
2. Keep fishing equipments safely like boat, moored in the harbor. Avoid the risk of collision by keeping a safe distance between boats.
3. Avoid trips to the sea and other enjoyments near the sea.
