New Delhi: In a significant development, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Saturday that it has entered into a partnership with Dream11 as the lead sponsor for Team India. Dream11 will replace Byju’s, whose contract ended in March this year, and has signed a three-year deal with the BCCI.
The newly forged partnership between BCCI and Dream11 will see the Dream11 logo prominently displayed on the jerseys of the Indian cricket team, starting with the Test series against the West Indies. This series will mark the team’s first assignment in the ICC World Test Championship 2023–2025 cycle. The series comprises a total of eight matches, scheduled to be played over a month.
The Test series between India and the West Indies will commence with a two-match series, with the first Test taking place from July 12 to 16 at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium in Dominica.
Expressing his satisfaction with the partnership, BCCI President Roger Binny congratulated Dream11 and warmly welcomed them on board. He emphasised the growth and strength of the BCCI-Dream11 partnership, which has evolved from being the official sponsor to now becoming the lead sponsor. Binny praised Indian cricket for the trust, value, potential, and growth it offers, citing the partnership as a testament to these qualities.
Binny also highlighted the BCCI’s commitment to enhancing fan experiences, particularly as they prepare to host the ICC World Cup later this year. He expressed confidence that the partnership with Dream11 will contribute to elevating fan engagement and satisfaction.
Co-Founder and CEO of Dream Sports, Harsh Jain, expressed his excitement about taking the partnership with the BCCI and Team India to the next level. Jain acknowledged Dream11’s love for cricket and its billion Indian fans, considering it a matter of pride and privilege to become the lead sponsor for the national team. He reaffirmed Dream11’s commitment to supporting the Indian sports ecosystem and looked forward to continuing their contribution.
