Thiruvananthapuram: Transport Minister Antony Raju announced that the Amenity Centre to be constructed at Bimapalli in the capital has received a revised administrative approval of Rs 2.58 crore. This decision for additional funding came after discussions with Tourism Minister PA Muhammad Riyas.
Initially, a sum of Rs. 2.06 crore had been earmarked for the construction of the Amenity Centre. Modifications to the project’s scope necessitated additional funding to ensure its completion.
As per the revised estimates, the project has now garnered administrative approval for a total sum of Rs. 2.58 crore, reflecting an extra allotment of Rs. 52.18 lakh.. The minister said that with the approval of the revised estimate, the construction work can be completed quickly.
