Thiruvananthapuram: Union External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar will arrive in Thiruvanathapuram today for a two-day visit. The Union Minister will be the chief guest at the ‘PM Vishwakarma’ program organized jointly by the Union Ministry of Railways and the Union Ministry of MSME. The ‘PM Vishwakarma’ program will be held tomorrow at 11 am at Tagore Theatre, Vazhuthakkad, Thiruvananthapuram.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the ‘PM Vishwakarma’ scheme from New Delhi at 11 am. The project aims to financially support the artisans and craftsmen and keep the ancient tradition, culture and heritage alive through local products, arts and crafts.
After this, the Union Minister will deliver a lecture on ‘G20 – Vikasit Bharat’ at the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Valiamala. ‘Amrit Kal-Vimarsh Vikasit Bharat’ is a Government of India program to discuss the transformative changes that will lay the foundation for a developed India in 2047. Dr. S. Jayashankar will then return to Delhi in the evening after interacting with the students of IIST.
