Pathanamthitta: The winners of Nehru Trophy Boat Race visited Sabarimala Sannidhanam after achieving a historic victory at Punnamada Lake in Alappuzha. Representatives of Pallathuruthy Boat Club – Veeyapuram chundan arrived at Sabarimala with the Nehru Trophy. Visiting Lord Ayyappa at Sabarimala with the cup is part of the vow of the club officials and chundan officials.
Rajeev, Ratheesh, Rahul and Ramesh representing the Pallathurthi Boat Club reached Sabarimala. The group climbed the mountain on Tuesday night. The group returned after seeing Tantri in person and taking blessings. Apart from Sabarimala, the club officials will visit Mookambika, Tirupati and Mridangashaileshwari temple with the cup.
