IDUKKI : A young man attempted suicide in front of Kumali Police Station after the police conducted a house search due to suspicion of cannabis possession. Muniyandi Suresh, a native of Kumali, tried to commit suicide by consuming poison in front of the police station. The incident occurred this morning. Suresh is accused in several criminal cases, including theft and a ganja-related case.
A police team conducted a search of his house this morning due to suspicion of ganja (cannabis) possession. However, the test did not reveal the presence of cannabis or any other intoxicants. Suresh attempted suicide in front of the station shortly after the investigation team had left.
Upon noticing Suresh’s suicide attempt, the police intervened and rushed him to a hospital in Theni. His current health condition is reported to be satisfactory.
