Kannur: The motorcycle belonging to K. K. Rigil, a native of Muzhapala Kaitapram and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) booth committee, was set on fire by unidentified anti-social elements. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. today.
Rigil, who has been actively involved in local BJP politics, has reportedly been targeted before by political rivals. Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI (M)) workers have attacked Rigil on two previous occasions. The Chakkarakkal police received a complaint about the incident and started an investigation
