Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for four districts due to the possibility of isolated heavy rain in the state today. Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, and Palakkad are under the yellow alert. Caution is advised, particularly in hilly areas, as heavy rainfall is anticipated in these areas.
Pathanamthitta and Idukki may experience isolated rain and thundershowers in the coming hours, along with wind gusts of up to 40 km/h. The Central Water Commission has also issued a yellow alert at the Vallakkadavu station on the Karamana river in Thiruvananthapuram, urging those living near the riverbank to exercise caution.
