Alappuzha: A young man has gone missing while out fishing in a lake. S. Sujith (35), a resident of Arattupuzha, was missing. The incident occurred when Sujith set out for fishing at 5:30 a.m. yesterday and failed to return home. Concerned about his absence, Sujith’s family went to search for him and found his boat overturned near the pier, with the fishing net partially extended.
Local residents and the fire rescue team searched the lake for several hours yesterday. Additionally, a scuba diving team arrived at the scene to conduct an underwater search. The search operation had to be temporarily called off at night. The search is scheduled to resume today. Sujith, who had been working abroad, returned home just three months ago.
