Thiruvananthapuram: A complaint was filed alleging that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan received threats over the phone. The Thiruvananthapuram Museum Police registered a case in connection with the incident. The perpetrator had been making threatening and abusive calls to the police headquarters targeting the Chief Minister. According to the police, their investigation identified a 12-year-old school student from Ernakulam as the individual behind the incident. The threat call was received at the police headquarters control room the previous evening.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan attended the police parade held at Peroorkada SAP ground in Thiruvananthapuram on the occasion of Kerala Birth and Kerala Police Formation Day. Attending the parade, the Chief Minister responded that ours is the best police force in the country and there have been unparalleled changes in the police in the last seven years. Kerala Police used most modern technology to investigate cases. The police has become a social service force in times of crisis. The Chief Minister also pointed out that the declared position of the government is to increase the representation of women.
