New Delhi: The Indian High Commissioner, Sanjay Kumar Verma, has urged the Canadian government to increase security measures for Air India flights in Canada. This action is in response to the threat made by Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the leader of Sikhs for Justice, a Khalistan terrorist organization, to bomb an Air India flight on November 19. The High Commissioner also stated that he will engage in discussions on this matter with the relevant authorities.
Numerous Air India flights operate between Canada and Bharat. In a video shared by the Khalistan terrorist leader, it is claimed that the plane will be targeted as part of a global sanctions campaign. In light of this situation, Bharat is treating the threat from Khalistan terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun with utmost seriousness. High Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Verma further emphasized that these instructions have been issued to enhance the safety of Air India flights. He added that both countries have committed to countering threats to air travel.
In the video shared by Pannun, it is mentioned that the Air India flight will be targeted as part of a global boycott on November 19, and the Sikh community is advised to avoid traveling on Air India.
