Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that there is a possibility of widespread rainfall in the state for the next five days due to the influence of easterly winds blowing from the Bay of Bengal.
Strong winds and bad weather conditions are likely over Kerala and South Karnataka coasts today (Nov 5) and Lakshadweep coasts tomorrow with a speed of 40 to 45 kmph and occasional up to 55 kmph.
The IMD has also warned that there is a possibility of strong winds and bad weather in the Central East Arabian Sea and South-East Arabian Sea on November 8th and in the Central East Arabian Sea on November 8th and 9th, with a speed of 40 to 45 kmph and on some occasions up to 55 kmph.
In this situation, the IMD has informed that people should not go fishing in the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts and follow precautionary instructions.
