Malappuram: A rubber-tapping worker named Rajan of Cherpunkal, a native of Mampad, Odaikkal, was seriously injured in an attack by a wild elephant. The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. today in Mampad. Following the attack, Rajan was rushed to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
This follows another incident just two days ago in Attapady, where a resident of Tamil Nadu, Rajapan from Chinnathadagam, lost his life in a wild elephant attack. The rogue elephant ventured into a residential area in Puliampatti, posing a threat. Rajapan, who was staying at his daughter’s house, was attacked by the elephant. When hearing the sound, he went outside, was attacked by the elephant, and trampled to death.
