Central Government announces public holidays for 2024 in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: The central government has released the list of public holidays for 2024 for central government offices in the state of Kerala. Next year, there will be 17 public holidays and 43 restricted holidays for the employees working under the central government.

The holidays are:

January 26: Republic Day
March 8: Maha Shivaratri
March 29: Good Friday
April 10: Ramzan (Eid-ul-Fitr)
April 21: Mahavir Jayanti
May 23: Buddha Purnima
June 17: Bakrid (Eid al-Adha)
July 16: Muharram
August 15: Independence Day
August 26: Janmashtami
September 16: Prophet’s Day (Mawlid Al-Nabawi)
October 2: Gandhi Jayanti
October 11: Durgashtami
October 13: Vijayadashami
October 31: Diwali
November 15, Guru Nanak Jayanti
December 25: Christmas

During these holidays, the holidays of Ramzan and Bakrid may change depending on the sighting of the new moon. Also, employees can choose two out of 43 restricted holidays.
