Ernakulam: The High Court has issued a stay on the Kerala government’s directive to install cameras in buses across the state. The decision comes in response to a petition filed by the Kerala Bus Transport Association, advocating against the government order.
Bus owners had voiced their opposition to the government’s directive, highlighting concerns about the quality of the cameras and demanding an extension of the given time to ensure the installation of high-quality cameras. The government’s order to install cameras inside and outside buses was proposed as a safety measure, particularly in light of numerous bus accidents.
