Bengaluru: A 23-year-old woman, Soundarya, and her nine-month-old daughter, Suviksha, died after accidentally stepping on a live power line lying on the road. The tragic event occurred at 6 a.m. in the Whitefield area of Bengaluru.

Soundarya, a native of Bengaluru, met with the accident while returning home from Tamil Nadu. The young woman inadvertently stepped on a broken wire lying on the roadside. Locals report that the area was dark, and Soundarya may not have seen the wire.

The local police have swiftly registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident. Authorities are currently interrogating all officials and employees associated with the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM).
