Malappuram: A complaint has been lodged regarding the loss of gold ornaments belonging to a woman who succumbed to injuries sustained in a car accident on the 28th of last month. Naduwath Faisal, a resident of Manjeri, reported the disappearance of a necklace and two rings that belonged to his wife, Fatima. The missing gold ornaments weighed approximately two sovereigns. Fatima’s daughter, Farina Farvin, and sister, Anu Hajaira, lodged a complaint with the hospital superintendent, Dr. Sheena Lal, and also filed a report with the Manjeri police.
Fatima passed away on the 27th of last month while receiving treatment following the accident at the Anakkayam check post. She was initially brought to Manjeri Medical College Hospital around 11:12 am, but due to severe injuries, was subsequently transferred to Kozhikode Medical College around 12:15 pm. However, the sister claims that there were no ornaments on the body at that time.
Fatima passed away the following day. The theft was reported to the hospital three days ago. However, it was revealed that an individual who identified herself as Fatima’s sister retrieved the jewelry from the hospital. According to the complaint, individuals who brought the body to the hospital claimed there were ornaments on the body, but there was a failure to hand them over to the relatives.
