Malappuram: Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan will arrive in Ponnani today to participate in the memorial program of Congress leader PT Mohana krishnan. The Governor will reach Ponnani at around 11 am.
Meanwhile, the SFI workers have raised protest banners against the Governor towards his visit in Ponnani . SFI activists have hoisted banners with threatening messages such as ‘Mr Chancellor you are not welcome here’ and ‘Mr Chancellor this is a place full of bloody criminals’ in two locations at Eramangalam in Malappuram district. Security has been beefed up in the area in view of the Governor’s visit.
Yesterday, the Governor reached Idukki to inaugurate the Karunyam project of the Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi (KVVES). In protest against this, the Left Democratic Front (LDF) activists raised obscene slogans but the governor participated in the program without any threats.
