Man, son arrested for extorting lakhs from actor Kollam Thulasi

Thiruvananthapuram: A man and his son have been arrested for extorting lakhs from actor Kollam Thulasi under the pretense of doubling the money. Santosh Kumar and his son Deepak, natives of Thiruvananthapuram were arrested by the museum police in the incident.

The money was unlawfully taken using the disguise of a private company named G Capital. Numerous individuals, including Kollam Thulasi, were reportedly victims of this deceit. The accused managed to extract Rs 20 lakhs from Kollam Thulasi. Initially, two lakhs were handed over, and the accused returned four lakhs. Subsequently, eight lakhs were returned for an additional four lakhs. This prompted Kollam Thulasi to provide a total of 20 lakhs. However, the money was not returned as promised.

In response, Kollam Thulasi filed a complaint with the police. According to law enforcement, there are pending cases against the accused in the police stations of Vattiyoorkavu and Sreekaryam.
