Thrissur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on his second visit to Kerala this year, arrived at Guruvayur temple in Thrissur at 7:30 am today. Thrissur District BJP President K K Aneeshkumar accompanied him inside the temple. The Prime Minister entered the temple wearing traditional Kerala attire (Mundu and Veshti).

Devaswom Board members welcomed the Prime Minister in the outer circle. Prayers and other pujas were conducted in the inner circle, which is accessible only to tantris and restricted individuals. Subsequently, the Prime Minister performed Thulabharam with lotus flowers. The visit inside the temple lasted about 20 minutes.

Following the temple rituals, he blessed the newly wedded couples, Bhagya and Shreyas. He also extended his blessings to the newlyweds in the other three mandapams. Akshatam was then handed over to distinguished guests attending the wedding. Afterward, he returned to Srivatsam guest house by 9 am. The Prime Minister left for Thriprayar Shree Ramaswami Temple at 9:30 am.
