Bengaluru: A Malayali farmer committed suicide in Karnataka’s Kullur. The deceased, Ravikumar (45), a native of Kayyunni, Sultan Bathery, Wayanad, was found hanging in the farm shed. His body was discovered by employees arriving for work this morning.
Sources indicate that Ravikumar used to lease a farm in Kullur, Chamarajanagar district, where he engaged in banana farming. Friends and relatives suggest that the reason for his suicide was the downturn in agriculture and financial burden.
