Kozhikode: Jolly Joseph, the main accused in the Koodathayi serial murder case, has submitted a bail application, citing physical ailments. The petition was filed in the special court at Eranhipalam.
Earlier, the trial in the case was adjourned due to Jolly’s physical discomfort. The trial resumed last day, and Jolly’s bail plea may be considered tomorrow.
The sensational case came to light after six members of a family in Koodathayi village, Kozhikode district, were killed under similar circumstances over a span of 14 years between 2002 and 2016. In the subsequent investigation, the police found that all six deaths were murders and arrested Jolly in connection with the incident.
