Bengaluru: The Central government is set to lend a helping hand to those aspiring to work in the aviation sector. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the ‘Boeing Sukanya Programme’, today, aimed at increasing women’s participation in the aviation industry. The project includes skill learning and training opportunities.

Under the program, individuals will have the chance to study and train in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) fields. Additionally, 150 STEM Labs will be established nationwide to enhance STEM training and encourage more girls to participate. Scholarships and other forms of assistance will be provided to women undergoing pilot training.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center (BIETC), Boeing’s new campus at Devanahalli. BIETC is expected to contribute significantly to the global aerospace and defense industry’s growth.
