New Delhi: In preparation for the upcoming 75th Republic Day parade, the French Air and Space Force took part in fly-past rehearsals above New Delhi’s Kartavya Path on Saturday. The involvement of the French military adds an international flair to the celebratory event.
The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has also been invited to attend Bharat’s Januaray 26 Republic Day celebrations. This collaborative participation follows last year’s Bastille Day Parade, where a 241-member tri-service Indian armed forces contingent, led by a military band, showcased the strong ties between Bharat and France. Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the Bastille Day celebrations as the guest of honor.
In anticipation of Republic Day, the Delhi Police implemented security measures by prohibiting the use of sub-conventional aerial platforms, including paragliders, paramotors, hang gliders, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in the national capital.
