New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin a two-day visit to Bhutan from March 21. The purpose of the visit is to hold discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between India and Bhutan. During his visit, the Prime Minister will meet with King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and former King Jigme Singye Wangchuck of Bhutan.
The meeting between the two leaders aims to enhance the relationship between the two countries and encourage foreign investment. The Prime Minister’s Office has stated that discussions will also cover global issues. Sources suggest that the bilateral relationship relies on mutual trust and understanding, and such meetings will further bolster ties between the two nations.
Bhutan’s Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay recently affirmed that friendly relations with India will be maintained indefinitely. He emphasized that both countries are on a journey towards social progress, expressing Bhutan’s enduring commitment to partnering with India in this endeavor. This sentiment was conveyed during a meeting held in New Delhi.
