Former Air Force Chief RKS Bhadauria joins BJP

New Delhi: RKS Bhadauria, former Chief of the Indian Air Force (IAF), formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday, in a ceremony attended by party General Secretary Vinod Tawde and Union Minister Anurag Thakur.

RKS Bhadauria, was among the pioneering IAF officers to operate the rafale fighter jet and played a pivotal role in  facilitating the agreement with France for these advanced aircraft. He served as the Air Force Chief from September 2019 to September 2021. Prior to assuming this position, he held notable commands, including Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of the Southern Air Command from March 2017 to August 2018, before being promoted to Vice Chief of the Air Staff in May 2019.

Throughout his distinguished 36-year career, RKS Bhadauria has been honored with prestigious awards such as the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, the Vayu Sena Medal, and the Param Vishisht Seva Medal. In recognition of his service, he was appointed as the honorary Aide De Campe to the President of Bharat in January 2019.
