New Delhi: After the second order was issued while he was in ED custody, the BJP severely criticized Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. BJP leader Harsh Vardhan stated that Kejriwal’s decision to continue as Chief Minister despite his arrest shows his greed. He added that Kejriwal could not leave the CM’s chair due to insecurity.
BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa mentioned that the Chief Minister cannot give any instructions from jail and accused him of merely staging a drama. He also stated that a complaint has been lodged against Kejriwal seeking action. Sirsa stated that Kejriwal was the king of the liquor scam and added that Arvind Kejriwal used to say that those facing corruption charges should resign, but he is not resigning now.
After Kejriwal’s arrest, AAP is trying to turn Delhi into a riot zone. The protest is taking place outside the Patel Chowk metro station. The protesting Punjab Minister, Harjot Singh Bains, was arrested and removed by the police amid clashes between protesters and law enforcement. A curfew was subsequently declared in the area.
