New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been sent to judicial custody until April 15 in connection with the liquor policy case. Kejriwal appeared before Special Judge Kaveri Baweja at Rouse Avenue Court on Monday following the conclusion of his Enforcement Directorate custody.

Under tight security, Kejriwal was brought to court by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which filed an application seeking his judicial custody. The ED moved an application in the court seeking direction to send Arvind Kejriwal to judicial custody and stated that further custodial interrogation, at the moment is not required. Additional Solicitor General SV Raju represented the ED.

Ahead of Kejriwal’s court appearance, his wife Sunita Kejriwal and Delhi Ministers Saurabh Bharadwaj and Atishi were present at the Rouse Avenue Court.

Last Thursday, the Rose Avenue Court extended Kejriwal’s custodial remand by four days in the same case. The Delhi Chief Minister was arrested by the ED for his alleged involvement in a money laundering case linked to Delhi’s liquor policy.
