He said India’s defense manufacturing sector has not only been boosted to increase defense exports but also increased facilities for technological innovation. This has created an encouraging environment for both government and private sector companies.

“About 50 Indian companies have contributed significantly in making India’s defense exports a reality. With special focus on efficiency and quality, these companies have established themselves on the world stage as reliable suppliers of India’s defense equipment and technologies,” Rajnath Singh said.

India’s defence exports have diversified geographically, with exports reaching countries such as Italy, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Russia, UAE, Poland, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Israel, Spain, Chile, among others.
