Pakistan’s Border Action Team tried to infiltrate into India: Eliminated by Indian security forces

Jammu & Kashmir: Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT) squad tried to infiltrate into India through the Keran Sector. However, 36 hours later, all the members of the squad numbering 5 to 7 are killed and their bodies lying along the Line of Control. The Army is unable to extract their bodies because of heavy firing from Pakistani side.

Pakistan has resorted to heavy firing and mortar shelling along the LoC in Poonch District. The Indian army is retaliating at the moment.

Situation in Kashmir is volatile after intelligence input of terrorists plans to widespread attack in the valley. The security forces are on high alert and extra forces are on the ground to maintain the law and order situation and to deal with terrorists.

The security forces have recovered a huge cache of sniper rifles, IED, and mines with Pakistan markings. This points the finger at Pakistan for being complicit  with terrorists active in the valley.

The surge in Indian troops in Jammu and Kashmir has left the Kashmiri politicians jittery. Yesterday the government asked the tourists and Amrnath yathris to curtail their stay in Kashmir. Many foreign countries have issued advisories to its citizens not to travel to Kashmir.

Indian troop surge is in response to credible intelligence reports concerning impending attacks by terrorists on a large scale to destabilize the region. However, many politicians in Kashmir like Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah are creating a fear psychosis among the population against the Indian army.

The Congress is helping the separatists by trying to corner the Central Government by demanding answers for the surge in troops in the valley.

Pakistan too echoed the sentiments of Congress and other Kashmiri parties and has expressed concerns in the internal affair of India.
