New Delhi: This day will be recorded as the golden day in the history of India as the decisive step on Jammu and Kashmir has been taken today. Jammu Kashmir, no more a state, will now be a union territory.
Home Minister Amit Shah announced the crucial matter in the Rajya Sabha at 11am amidst opposition’s uproar.
Amit Shah and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval had meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier today.
From now onwards, all decisions and changes upon the constitution will be applicable to Jammu and Kashmir too. Jammu and Kashmir as well as Ladakh will be Union Territories.
