New Delhi: Former Finance Minister and Congress leader has just been arrested from his residence in New Delhi by sleuths of the CBI, Enforcement Directorate and the Police.
After going into hiding, when the High Court rejected his petition for anticipatory bail, the former Finance Minister tried to move the Supreme Court. However, the apex court also did not entertain an early hearing.
Chidabaram earlier arrived at the AICC headquarters in New Delhi to hold a press meet where he reiterated his innocence. He left as soon as the investigating officers reached the headquarters.
He had left to his residence. The ED and CBI officials had to scale the walls of his house to reach the Congress leader.
