New Delhi: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), an affiliate of RSS, will begin its first University called Ashok Singhal Ved Vigyan Evam Praudyogikee Vishwavidyalaya at Gurugram next year. The university will draw from the ancient Vedic method of teaching and will be spread over a 39.68 acres of land.
The University will follow both the Vedic and modern curriculum and will have a Vedic ambience. Classes will be conducted under trees and Vedic hymns, Upanishads, and Gita will be broadcast throughout the campus.
The objective of the University is to pave the way to re-establish Bharat as ‘Vishwaguru’ and create a common platform for modern scientists, technologists and traditional Vedic Pandits to generate a new and comprehensive stream of knowledge of India.
The subjects offered are Agriculture, Architecture, Environment science, Paleography, Warfare, Internal Security and Mathematics in first year. Around 20 subjects will be taught in total at the University including Hatya shashtra, Ayurveda, and Narmada Bhakti Sutra.
The University will follow the National Education Policy, 2019 and is named after Ashok Singhal who was the international working President of VHP for 20 years and who was instrumental in spearheading the Ram Janmabhoomi movement.
There will be a cow shelter, temple, meditation hall and yajna shala inside the campus.
