New Delhi: Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and invited him for the inauguration of prestigious ‘YSR Raithu Bharosa” scheme in the state.
This scheme was one of the prime promises during the election and is expected to benefit over 53 lakh farmers including tenant farmers. The scheme is slated to launch on October 15 at Nellore.
“Reddy requested the Centre to release the funds in time and to cooperate for the development of the state. In view of this, the Chief Minister has requested for Rs 40,000 crores as grant-in-aid to the state,” said an official statement.
