New Delhi: Bollywood actors Anil Kapoor and Anupam Kher was all praise for Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his cleaning drive at the Mamallapuram beach on Saturday. The actors hailed his actions as his message of cleanliness, which Modi has been continuously expressing.
The Prime Minister cleaned the beach for 30 minutes and the video was widely shared in social media. It was his effort to make more people aware about the importance of cleanliness in the public space. The Prime Minister’s cleanliness drive was ahead of his formal meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Anil Kapoor tweeted, Keeping our surroundings clean is not just limited to our houses. It’s about keeping our home, #India clean & safe.
Cleanliness is definitely very essential for remaining happy, healthy & fit. We all need to work towards reducing the ‘collection’.”
Actor Anupam Kher was all praise for Narendra Modi for his efforts to spread the message of cleanliness and tweeted, “This picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will become a symbol of honesty, truth, simplicity and selfless spirit in the whole world in times to come,”
He added, “There is a clean India campaign in this picture. Along with the image of a faqir is hidden. Now what can such a person fear. Jai Ho.”
The Prime Minister has been continuously calling for keeping one self fit and the surroundings clean. His major drive of ‘Swach Bharat’ has been recognized and admired in the international arena.
Film maker Madhur Bhandarkar also heaped praise at Modi for the cleanliness drive and said, “Hon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, a leader is one who knows the way, goes the way & shows the way. You are that leader for us. A Clean & fit nation is the best nation.”
Meanwhile, the Congress has stooped to a new low saying that the Prime Minister was enacting a drama at the beach. The grand old party fails to recognize that the Prime Minister was trying to set an example and to spread the message of cleanliness and also fitness by his actions.
