New Delhi: As the Supreme Court of India will deliver the Ayodhya Ramjanmabhoomi verdict any time in the coming week, the Chief Justice of India (CJI), Ranjan Gogoi, will meet top officials of Uttar Pradesh to review the law and order situation in the state after the verdict is announced.

Gogoi also seeks to ascertain the security preparedness of the state before the verdict is given. He will meet with the Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police.

The CJI will meet the top officials at noon. Earlier, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, asked District Magistrate to take immediate action against those who are trying to disrupt peace in the country. The Central government has also given extra paramilitary personnel to the state to maintain peace.

Yesterday, RSS leaders and Muslim clerics held a meeting at the residence of Muktar Abbas Naqvi and asked everyone to respect the Supreme Court’s verdict. Various Muslim groups have also urged everyone to maintain peace.
