Chennai: Tamil actor and politician Radha Ravi and actress Namitha joined the BJP, today, in the presence of BJP Working President, J. P. Nadda.
While Radha Ravi joined BJP after leaving the DMK, Namitha joined hands with the saffron party after her stint with the AIADMK. Namitha who was one of the star campaigner for the AIADMK for the Lok Sabha election will now work for the BJP in Tamil Nadu, which will go for Assembly election within one and a half years.
Namitha joined the party in the presence of her husband Veerandhra Chowdhary.
Radha Ravi started his political career with the DMK, switched sides to the AIADMK and won a by-election in 2002. He returned to DMK in 2017.
