New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi blamed the Congress party and its allies for fomenting violence and using Muslims for political purpose in the ongoing protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He said that the grand old party is trying to create an atmosphere of fear in the country.
The Prime Minister was speaking at a public rally in Jharkhand, while he made these comments.
Narendra Modi said, “The Citizenship Amendment Act doesn’t snatch away any right of an Indian citizen or causes any harm. The Congress and its allies are instigating Muslims for political purpose.”
Modi also asked the opposition party to give Indian citizenship to every Pakistani citizen.
He said, “I challenge Congress and their allies if they have the guts they should openly declare that they will give Indian citizenship to every Pakistani citizen, & that they will bring back Article 370 in Jammu-Kashmir & Ladakh.”
Clearing the air of doubts about the CAA he said, “Citizenship (Amendment) Act neither takes away the rights of an Indian nor harms him in any manner. The law we have made is for people fleeing 3 nations due to religious persecution; It’s for those who are miserable and can’t go back.”
About the upcoming Jharkhand elections he said that there is only once voice in the state and it says, “Jharkhand pukara BJP dobara’.
