Bengaluru: ISRO Chief K Sivan on Wednesday said that Gaganyaan Mission is not just about sending a human to space, this mission provides us an opportunities to build a framework for long term national and international collaborations & cooperation.
Speaking further about the mission Sivan said, “Four astronauts have been shortlisted and they will go to Russia for training this month-end.”
One of the highlights of the mission is that Indian astronauts will fly in an Indian module from India.
K Sivan said, “In 1984, Rakesh Sharma flew in a Russian module, but this time the Indian astronauts will fly in an Indian module from India.”
