New Delhi: One lakh gram panchayats will be linked through BharatNet in the financial year 2020-21, said Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday. This will help improve the digital delivery of services.
Rs 6,000 crore has been allocated for the same.
“The government seeks to catalyse digital delivery of services for the rural poor in sectors such as health, education, livelihood, skills, e-agriculture and e-commerce using BharatNet infrastructure,” the minister said.
