New Delhi: Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has congratulated the Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, for the Budget, and praised her for the vision and action in it. He also said that the Budget will give a push to the economy and will help in doubling farmer’s income.
The Prime Minister said, “I congratulate Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman ji and his team for the first budget of this decade, which also has a vision and an action.”
He added that the reforms that is introduced in the Budget will give a push to the economy and will also double the income of farmers. He said that the Budget has also eased the taxation process and strengthened the government’s commitment to “minimum government and maximum governance”.
The Finance Minister has called for cuts in income tax rates for individuals in the present Budget. She proposed new tax slabs of 15% and 25% in addition to the existing 10%, 20%, and 30%.
