Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, today lashed out against the Noida District Magistrate, B. N. Singh, for not doing enough to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the district.

Yogi Adityanath pulled up the Magistrate during a high level meeting, where the district magistrate, police commissioner, and other officials took part.

The district has reported 38 cases so far and this made the Chief Minister angry with the inefficiency of the official.

Adityanath asked the officials not to transfer their responsibilities to others and asked them to fulfil them. He ordered them to work more efficiently to contain the spread of the virus.

After the CM’s reprimand, the District Magistrate wrote a letter to Yogi Adityanath telling of his inability to work for long hours at Noida.

The Chief Minister quickly transferred the Magistrate and appointed Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj as the new Noida’s District Magistrate.
