Economic Package: Union Finance Minister to address media today evening

New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to address the media at 4 pm today.

Sitharaman will be speaking on yesterday’s economic package announcement made Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

PM Modi in his address to the nation had said, “I announce a special economic package today. This will play an important role in the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’. The announcements made by the govt over COVID, decisions of RBI & today’s package totals to Rs 20 Lakh Crores. This is 10% of India’s GDP.”

Sitharaman had tweeted, “#AatmaNirbharBharat does not imply isolationism or becoming exclusionist. We’ll build capacities, skill people and compete globally acquiring strengths. We’ll build the #Local. After all, every global brand began with their #Local strength. We shall integrate with GVCs.”
