New Delhi: In a major development to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to buy and endorse local products, Baba Ramdev-led Patanjali Ayurved is in the process of launching an e-commerce platform to supply made-in-India products.
The e-commerce site, OrderMe, will supply Patanjali’s own ayurvedic products as well as connect the consumer to neighbourhood stores selling Indian products. Plus, orders on the proposed website will be home-delivered free of cost within a few hours, as per Times Now.
The site will also offer 24×7 free medical advice by 1,500 doctors of Patanjali along with yoga tutorials. The e-commerce platform is likely to be launched in the next 15 days, says reports.
Patanjali Ayurved managing director and chief executive Acharya Balkrishna confirmed the plan, saying it an effort to supply swadeshi items in response to Prime Modi’s “vocal for local” call.
The app will be available on both Android and iOS platforms.
