New Delhi: The domestic flight services will resume from May 25 and the Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued certain guidelines for the passengers.
“Passengers to complete the check-in procedure and baggage drop of at least 60 minutes before departure,” read the MoCA’s new guidelines.
“Only those passengers with confirmed web check-in will be allowed to enter the airport. Passengers will be required to wear protective gear (face mask). Only one check-in bag will be allowed,” the ministry said.
Passengers will not be allowed to consume eatables inside the aircraft during the flight. Also no paper or magazines will be provided. Airlines shall not provide the meal on board.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri tweeted, “Operations will start on 1/3 of the approved Summer schedule for domestic routes in a calibrated manner from 25 May 2020 & will be scaled up gradually. After domestic travel has been eased, we will address the issue of international travel depending on the evolving situation.”

During the press conference, he said that Under Vande Bharat Mission, more than 20 thousand citizens from various destinations have been brought back.
Talking about the fare of tickets, he said, ” We have set a minimum and a maximum fare. In the case of Delhi, Mumbai the minimum fare would be Rs 3,500 for a journey between 90-120 minutes. The maximum fare would be Rs 3,500 for a journey between 90-120 minutes. The maximum fare would be Rs 10,000. This is operative for three months-till one minute to midnight on August 24.”
Passengers with red status on Aarogya Setu App will not be allowed to travel.
